Introducing the FloorCurl Inflatable Rink
The FloorCurl family of iceless curling products has a new addition.
For years, our range of products has provided our customers with a way to experience the fun of curling without the need for ice. A school gym, a community center, a game room, a senior center – anywhere you could find a smooth, flat surface, you could enjoy floor curling with friends and family.
Over time, we identified a need for equipment that could work in a new setting – the great outdoors. Summer festivals, schoolyards, courtyards and streets were a few of the many great ideas for places to set up a floor curling activation, and our resourceful customers found ways to make it work by building temporary flooring, renting pop-up stage surfaces, and other creative setups that would allow the stones to roll with ease.
Now, the newest product in our lineup, the FloorCurl Inflatable Rink, is the solution to outdoor floor curling setups!
The Usability of the FloorCurl Inflatable Rink
One of these new rinks was recently featured at the Abilities Centre 10th Anniversary Charity Golf Tournament. Golfers were surprised at the 6th hole with the opportunity to “draw to the button” before hitting the fairway for a chance to win a prize. “This year at Abilities Centre’s first golf tournament, Rock Solid Productions offered to come out with their FloorCurl experience,” said Natasha Fieldman, Director of Revenue Development at Abilities Centre. “We were unsure, not knowing how long the setup would take and how it would impact the pace of play of our golf game. We didn’t need to worry. Set-up took minutes and the experience was a fun, unique and accessible activation for all our golfers, staff and volunteers.”
The activation also played a role in encouraging golfers to bid generously when they browsed the tournament’s silent auction items following the round. “We also added a FloorCurl Starter Set to our silent auction,” Fieldman adds. “The fact that the golfers had an opportunity to see the activation in action helped make it an in-demand item and one of the highlights of our auction.”
The new FloorCurl Inflatable Rink is available with one or two targets, with or without stones. If you already have a set of FloorCurl stones, they are perfectly compatible with these new rinks.
